Why ExpertFuze Collects Contact Information

There are several interactive features of this Site, including the ability to register as an expert or an employer, create an ExpertFuze CV, interact with other users, submit requests for services, and upload content. ExpertFuze collects information in order to properly match experts with employers (collectively, experts and employers referred to as "Users").

Information ExpertFuze Collects

Information collected on this Site for experts includes contact information, education information, employment information, work history, conflicts, as well as other information that will assist us in finding a consulting engagement for an expert (collectively, “Expert Information”). Information collected on this Site for employers includes information in expert requests (“Expert Request Data”) and employer contact information (collectively, "Employer Information").

Expert Information

Expert Information can be shared with registered employers seeking experts in the expert’s field. By registering at this Site, Expert Information may be included in the ExpertFuze database, personal search results, or in publicly available case studies which is made available to employers seeking experts. As an expert, if you do not wish to have your information made available and shared with third parties, you should not register or submit content to this Site or you may select in your profile to keep your information private. ExpertFuze may also collect other publicly available Expert Information to add to the ExpertFuze Database. If you do not want your Expert Information to be a part of the ExpertFuze database, please contact us. Expert Request Data

In order to effectively communicate an employer’s needs to a potential expert, ExpertFuze may present some Employer Request Data to such potential experts. ExpertFuze may also anonymously post search results of such request on the Site in the form of a case study so that others visiting the Site may (i) better understand ExpertFuze’s services; (ii) request a similar search; and (iii) contact any or all non-conflicted experts in the case study.

Technical Information

This Site uses passive tracking technologies to log non-identifiable technical information such as IP address, browser type and Site usage (for example: what pages are accessed, how often, what pages a User links to while on our Site, whether Users select external links, ISP, referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, number of clicks, domain name and country/state). This information is used to analyze trends, administer the site, and track site usage only. We may also employ "cookies" or similar technologies provide additional functionality to the Site and help us analyze Site usage more accurately. Some of the features on our Site will only function if your browser is set to accept cookies. Thus, if you decline to accept cookies, certain features of our Site may not operate properly.

Other than to facilitate a relationship between employers and experts, we will not disclose any Expert Information or Employer Information for commercial purposes to any person or organization outside ExpertFuze or its affiliates.

We may use information provided by experts and employers for other legitimate business purposes, including sending you notices about ExpertFuze, its products and services, or other products or services in which we believe you may be interested, or asking for your input and feedback on our products and services, including participating in surveys.

As part of our regular business conduct, and regardless of whether you have opted out of having your information shared, we share information with our agents or service providers, for example third parties who help us deliver your requested services. We also will share your information in the event that there is a change of corporate ownership, the new owners will of course be provided with our files, including information you have submitted. We will also share information with government officials, including law enforcement officials or court authorities, in order to cooperate with a legitimate investigation. We may also combine the information you submit to us with publicly available information or information we obtain from third parties.

Third Parties

Except to supply employers with Expert Information, we will not disclose individual personal data records to third parties (unless compelled to do so by applicable law or valid legal process). However, in the process of identifying suitable experts for employers, to determine experts' ability and interest in a an employer's project, we may discuss details of the employer's expert request with one or more experts before selecting appropriate candidates for the employer's consideration. Further, in order to use ExpertConnect, we will disclose certain project request details to experts so that the experts can determine their ability and interest on a particular project. We will make every attempt to comply with a request to withhold any information that you do not want disclosed to candidates until such time as you elect to do so. We do not otherwise release or sell User names or other personal facts of a User’s identity to third parties.

Security Measures

ExpertFuze has implemented numerous security features to prevent the unauthorized release of or access to personal information. These features are detailed in our Security Statement.

Collection of Personal Data from Children

This Site is not intended for children under the age of 13. We will not knowingly collect information from Site visitors in this age group. We encourage parents to talk to their children about their use of the Internet and the information they disclose to web sites. Security and Data Storage

We use standard and reasonable technological and procedural measures to protect the information you provide. Data you provide to us will be stored on our servers located either in our offices in Illinois, or elsewhere in the United States or abroad.
